How to Switch to a 24-Hour Clock on Your iPhone

iPhone clocks are automatically set to show time on a 12-hour cycle, and if that’s the time you’re used to, it might not occur to you that there’s another option. However, if you prefer the 24-hour clock, also known as military time, it’s an easy switch to make in your Settings app. So, if instead of reading 4:15, you’ld like your iPhone to read 16:15, here’s how to switch to a 24-hour clock.

Open your Settings app. Tap General.

Scroll down and select Date & Time. Toggle on 24-Hour Time.

That’s all there is to it! Instead of breaking the day up into two12-hour cycles, you’ll now see time on your iPhone in military time using the full 24 hours. If you decided you want to switch back, just toggle 24-Hour Time off and you’re done.
